Filming Blog

 Today, my group and I talked about filming parts of our project. Because Sofia and Kaitlyn are in most of the scenes, I decided that I would film their scenes. My plan was for Sofia and Kaitlyn to come over to my house and we would film any of the sections that we needed there. Then, we would walk over to the park that is near my house. Right as Sofia and Kaitlyn were going to come over, the weather started to get very cloudy out. It soon started to rain. Since it was raining, we decided it would be best to film on another day. So instead, we decided to FaceTime to talk about everything that we needed to film.  Since Sofia and Kaitlyn live closer, they said that they can try and film the scenes that they have together. I don't make an appearance until later in the film, so I don't have to worry too much about it. On the FaceTime call, I offered to take a picture of myself to put in the news section of our project. I though this was a good idea because it could be similar to most news scenes in movies. I decided to wear regular clothes with a little makeup and my hair down. I wanted to still look similar to what I normally look like, but also a little different. I asked my mom if she could take the picture outside for good lighting, and to make it look natural. I also felt like having a nice picture outside would contrast with the sad news section. I had to wait a little bit for the weather to clear up outside. It wasn't super sunny so I may end up using a different picture. I sent the pictures to the group, and they can decide if they want to include that in the film or not. Hopefully my group and I will be able to find another time to film.

Production Blog: filming my scene

 Today, I am going to be filming the scenes with only me in them. Julie came over after school to help me film some of the parts. When I got home, I went to go change into my clothes for the scenes. I was wearing a bright pink top with jeans. we started off with me walking through the door of my house. I went outside the door and Julie filmed me walking in. During this scene, it was only me so you I didn't have much dialogue. Julie and I filmed the rest of the shots that I need for the scene by myself. Since I didn't have much dialogue, I had to make sure that my facial expressions where good so that the audience could still have an idea about what was going on in the scene. Filming these scenes weren't too hard. I would say the toughest part of this process was getting the right angle.
