Production Blog: Preparing for Macie

 Today, I went over to Julie's house. We discussed costumes and the overall plan for our film to ensure we were on the same page. As a teenage girl, I have a lot of teenage girl clothes which help when picking out the costume for Macie. For the first day, Macie wants to make a good impression, therefore her outfit matters a lot. Julie and I discussed what kind of aesthetic Macie is going to have. We also picked a personality for her. The reason Courtney is intimidated by Macie is because she is naturally beautiful. So, in order to portray this, Julie and I decided to have Macie wear a cute outfit for her first day. Her outfit will be trendy and cute which will bother Courtney. Therefore, we chose to have her wear Pacsun light wash jeans and a fitted shirt. I will have my hair done nice. My mom will help me curl my hair both days. And I am sure Julies mom will help her do the same. Courtneys costume will be similar to Macies, but she will be wearing a Hot pink shirt. The film will be imagined as a two day story. Therefore we need to make sure we have 2 separate outfits. The Second outfit for Macie will be black jeans and a white top. Basic but cute. We plan to bring our clothes in a separate bag to school. Hopefully the outfits turn out good and fit our characters well.

In this case, the new girl, Macie, attends, once again, another new school. Being “the new kid” is already hard enough, but to make it even harder on Macie, Courtney makes her first couple of days at school even more difficult. Courtney gets jealous that her crush, Jacob, likes Macie more then her. Production Blog: filming my scene

 Today, I am going to be filming the scenes with only me in them. Julie came over after school to help me film some of the parts. When I got home, I went to go change into my clothes for the scenes. I was wearing a bright pink top with jeans. we started off with me walking through the door of my house. I went outside the door and Julie filmed me walking in. During this scene, it was only me so you I didn't have much dialogue. Julie and I filmed the rest of the shots that I need for the scene by myself. Since I didn't have much dialogue, I had to make sure that my facial expressions where good so that the audience could still have an idea about what was going on in the scene. Filming these scenes weren't too hard. I would say the toughest part of this process was getting the right angle.
