Production Blog: Creating Props

In my film, I won't need to be create many props. The only prop that I will really need to work on on I creating the embracing photos that are going to be shown. The first photo that is shown is Macie's embarrassing photo. Since she is the "new girl" I felt like it made sense the photo of her is when she is a little younger, like middle school or early high school. This is because I feel like it will be an embracing, awkward photo this will be goo to include in our film. For this photo I asked my group member to send me a couple of photos of her that she thought where embarrassing. After looking through the options of her photos, I found one that I thought would be best for our film. To get the embarrassing picture of me, I decided to ask some of my friends to send me pictures of me. I felt like they would have more bad pictures of me than I would. They sent me a couple options and I picked the best one. I made sure to pick one that wasn't too embarrassing. When picking the pictures, I made sure to pick one that was appropriate for the film and also matched the personalities of the characters. This is important so the audience will still be able to tell who each character is. After I had each picture picked out, I had to figure out how I was going to have them show up on other peoples phones. In our film, we are having each photo be sent out to everyone in the school. I had to think of easy ways that the photo can be available to other people. I decided that the best way for this to happen is to air drop it. This will be easiest for me, and also be most realistic. Hopefully this will work out nicely for our film. Creating these props are really helping me see our film starting to come together and I am excited to see how it turns out.
