Production Blog: Finding people to be in our film
For the short film, I am working with my friend Julie. I am glad that I am able to work with her because she is a good friend of mine, and I feel that we come up with good ideas. However, it definelty is it bit more difficult to create a film with only two people in the group. When creating the idea of our short film, we should have been more cautious about our ideas because it is only two of us, and we should have thought of ways to make it easier for us to film without needing extra people. Luckily Julie found some friends that were willing to participate in our film. Mya is going to be playing Emma, and she will also help film. Kameron is going to be playing Josh. I felt bad asking them to be in my film because this part of the year is really stressful and busy, and they also have work that they have to get done, so I was pretty worried that they where not going to able to. But luckily, I was able to convince them to do it. Since some of our film takes part in a school, we decided that it would be easiest to film during our media class. The only problem with this is that we have to be very careful not to get any logos in the background of our film. I talked to my teachers to make sure that we would be ok with me filming at school, and they where definitely hesitant. They told me how it is important to try and film at places around the school where it wouldn't cause any issue with the rules of filming. But they said as long as there aren't any logos, wall art, etc, that it should be fine. This could be a little difficult because there is a lot of art of the walls of my school, but hopefully we will figure it out. I am definitely getting a little stressed about filming, but I am really hoping I won't run in to too many problems. We are planning on filming next time we have media class, and hopefully we can get it done in one class. I do not want it to take up much of Sean and Sofias time, so I will definitely need to do my best when we film. Im going to make sure that I look over my storyboard the day before so I am prepared to film. Hopefully everything will go well.
