Planning Blog: Script
Scene 1:
Banks: “Breaking news, Alexandra Delgado has been found dead in the Green Tree Forest on the side of 1-95 going north bound. After being missing for 3 months, it has been confirmed that Alexandra’s cause of death was blunt force traumas to the head. So far, the FBI has no leads.”
Non-diegetic sound: sounds of cars, bird, outside noises, etc.
Lighting: Natural lighting from outside
S2: Sophie turns off the TV and looks at Riley
Sophie Walker: “we better get ready for her funeral tomorrow”
Riley Scott: “Still can’t believe it”
They exit the room
S3:
Morning of Alexandras funeral and Sophie and Riley get ready
Incidental Music: instrumental, sad song
Lighting: sunshine, but slightly shady
S4:
The funeral just ended and Sophie and Riley are talking
Sophie Walker: “this doesn’t make any sense.”
Riley Scott: “what doesn’t make sense?”
Sophie Walker: “Everything. How, why, did she disappear? We owe it to Alex to find out.”
Riley Scott: “Agreed”
The two look each other in the eye
Both: “For Alex”
Lighting: will be natural lighting from outside
S5:
At Riley’s house
Lighting: soft lighting, but slightly dark
Riley Scott: “okay, where do we start?”
They talk for hours (view from the window) and midnight hits
Sophie Walker: “its midnight so I better get going.”
Riley Scott: “okay, I'll see you tomorrow”
Sophie Walker: “okay, goodnight”
Lighting: will be darker to match the “midnight” setting
Sophie leaves
S6:
Sophie walks down the street to go to her car
A noise rushes past her, and she looks
Sophie Walker: “huh?”
Continues to unlock the car when she hears something else
Takes a deep breath
Sophie Walker: “it's just your imagination Sophie”
She looks up again and sees someone standing across the street
Sophie Walker: “Hello? Who goes there? What's your name?”
She steps closer and soon realizes it is Alexandra
Sophie Walker: “OMG! Alex? Is that you?!”
Alexandra stands there, breathing heavily looking at Sophie Walker, not saying a word
Lighting: dark lighting, maybe include white flickering lights
Non-Diegetic Sound: sound of heavy breathing, wind blowing, rustling, buzzing of electricity
S7:
Sally Banks: “Breaking News, Sophie Walker has been reported missing since yesterday at midnight.”
S8:
Camera pans on a desk of pictures of Alexandra and Sophie
Someone crosses off “Fake Sophie's disappearance” in red marker
Lighting: will be dark and yellow, with only light on the paper that he crosses off
Diegetic Sound: marker squeaking
