Pitch Blog

Our Pitch   Pitch A:   After Alexandra Delgado was found “dead” after being missing for 3 months, Sophi e Walker mysteriously disappeared after unexpectedly running into her “ dead ” friend.   We feel that we can be very creative with this film. It leaves a lot of room for us to do whatever we want. Also, it is similar, yet different from other films. We can get a lot of inspiration from other films with this pitch. The only bad thing is sometimes this can be too “ideal”. We don’t want it to be “too basic” or “too much”.   Pitch B:   When Molly’s best friend Jenny moved back home after leaving 5 years ago, the huge question “is if that con nection is still there?” pops up.    This pitch is one we feel would be fun and interesting to make. It ’ s something that isn’t too flashy of a storyline which will stand out on its own. We think it would really help us lear n how to use and challenge more conventions in our films. We also feel t...

Filming at Night

Image
Today, my group and I had a plan to finally film our night scenes. The plan was for me to meet Sofia, pick her up, then bring her over to Kaitlyns. This was the best plan because Sofia and Kaitlyn live pretty close. I live pretty far from them, so I drove up there around 7:30 pm, so I would get there right when it gets dark. It was a really nice drive up there because it was sunset, and it was super pretty. Once I got to Sofia's house, it was pretty dark out, so the filming part should be perfect. Once I got Sofia, we drove to Kaitlyns. When we arrived at Kaitlyns, she told us that because her house is white, and it would look weird in the background, that we should just go down the street. We pulled into a pretty empty street that ended up being a really good spot. One of the scenes where Kaitlyn was walking, there was supposed to be a noise to add suspense. I decided to move the bushes to make it seem as something was there. While filming that scene, we thought it would make mor...

Title Website Research

Title Website Research Art of the Title Website:  https://www.artofthetitle.com/ We decided to research ‘Art of the Title’ as our first website. The front page alone was very eye catching. We were very confused about this project until we found this website. It is hard to come up with ideas when you don’t even know what you like. The website includes a tab that is labeled “Designers + Studios”. After clicking on it, over 100 names of designers were listed. Also, over 20 studios as well. We went through the majority of the designers and read a little bit about them and what they have done. We all gain some inspiration and new ideas that we can include in our film. Reading about some of the studios and how they were involved in the creation of a film, was interesting to read about. Looking through the different titles that are associated with the movie on the “Title Sequences” tab, showed us how to link our genre and title of our film. Watch the Titles Website:  https://w...
