Intro Blog

 Hi, my name is Camille Keith and I am sixteen years old. I was born in Los Angelas, California, and soon after I moved to New Orleans. After living there for a few years, I then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am currently a junior at Fort Lauderdale high school. My favorite subject at school would probably be math or science. I have always enjoyed math and science more than subjects in English. At school, I enjoy being around my friends, having lunch, and getting my work done. After school on Mondays and Wednesdays, I do dance. I currently do Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. I used to do ballet, but I would have had to put in a lot of commitment at a young age, and I was still doing sports. I used to play a lot of volleyball, and my favorite sport was soccer. I also played basketball in sixth grade. I enjoyed sports, but as I got older, I started to enjoy dance more, and it was hard to do dance and sports, so I had to chose one or the other, so I stuck with dance. On the days that I don't dance, and I work at a restaurant. It is very stressful, but it gives me good social, and multitasking skills. Somethings that I enjoy doing in my free time is going to the beach, getting Starbucks, hanging with friends, and just relaxing. I also like spending time with my mom, dad, sister, and dog, Buddy. My sister Ella is currently a sophomore at Florida State University. This is my second year without having her home with me, and I still miss her. My sister and I where pretty close, so it was hard adjusting to being the only child at home. This will be my second year in AICE Media, and I am now in A level. Last year when I was in AS Level, I started the class not knowing anyone in my class, and I was scared I wouldn't find anyone to work with. Fortunately, I soon met my two group members last year, and I am now super close friends with them. One of them is in my Media class this year. I am super excited to learn more knowledge about Media, as well as advance my skills.

  How do your products represent social groups or issues? Our short film focuses on some of the troubles that highschoolers go through. In this case, the new girl, Macie, attends, once again, another new school. Being “the new kid” is already hard enough, but to make it even harder on Macie, Courtney makes her first couple of days at school even more difficult. Courtney gets jealous that her crush, Jacob, likes Macie more then her. This causes her to send out an embarrassing photo of Macie to the whole school, in hopes to get Jacob to lose interest in Macie. However, this makes Jacob see what kind of a person Courtney truly is. Courtney decides that she must apologize and make up for what she’s done to Macie. The short film captures some of the emotions that many teens and highschoolers often go through. Production Blog: filming my scene

 Today, I am going to be filming the scenes with only me in them. Julie came over after school to help me film some of the parts. When I got home, I went to go change into my clothes for the scenes. I was wearing a bright pink top with jeans. we started off with me walking through the door of my house. I went outside the door and Julie filmed me walking in. During this scene, it was only me so you I didn't have much dialogue. Julie and I filmed the rest of the shots that I need for the scene by myself. Since I didn't have much dialogue, I had to make sure that my facial expressions where good so that the audience could still have an idea about what was going on in the scene. Filming these scenes weren't too hard. I would say the toughest part of this process was getting the right angle. We also had to figure out how we can make the embarassing photo look like it was found on a website or something similar so it looks realistic. This took a couple ,minutes to figure out, but...
