Intro Blog

 Hi, my name is Camille Keith and I am sixteen years old. I was born in Los Angelas, California, and soon after I moved to New Orleans. After living there for a few years, I then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am currently a junior at Fort Lauderdale high school. My favorite subject at school would probably be math or science. I have always enjoyed math and science more than subjects in English. At school, I enjoy being around my friends, having lunch, and getting my work done. After school on Mondays and Wednesdays, I do dance. I currently do Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. I used to do ballet, but I would have had to put in a lot of commitment at a young age, and I was still doing sports. I used to play a lot of volleyball, and my favorite sport was soccer. I also played basketball in sixth grade. I enjoyed sports, but as I got older, I started to enjoy dance more, and it was hard to do dance and sports, so I had to chose one or the other, so I stuck with dance. On the days that I don't dance, and I work at a restaurant. It is very stressful, but it gives me good social, and multitasking skills. Somethings that I enjoy doing in my free time is going to the beach, getting Starbucks, hanging with friends, and just relaxing. I also like spending time with my mom, dad, sister, and dog, Buddy. My sister Ella is currently a sophomore at Florida State University. This is my second year without having her home with me, and I still miss her. My sister and I where pretty close, so it was hard adjusting to being the only child at home. This will be my second year in AICE Media, and I am now in A level. Last year when I was in AS Level, I started the class not knowing anyone in my class, and I was scared I wouldn't find anyone to work with. Fortunately, I soon met my two group members last year, and I am now super close friends with them. One of them is in my Media class this year. I am super excited to learn more knowledge about Media, as well as advance my skills.

Filming at Night

 Today, my group and I had a plan to finally film our night scenes. The plan was for me to meet Sofia, pick her up, then bring her over to Kaitlyns. This was the best plan because Sofia and Kaitlyn live pretty close. I live pretty far from them, so I drove up there around 7:30 pm, so I would get there right when it gets dark. It was a really nice drive up there because it was sunset, and it was super pretty. Once I got to Sofia's house, it was pretty dark out, so the filming part should be perfect. Once I got Sofia, we drove to Kaitlyns. When we arrived at Kaitlyns, she told us that because her house is white, and it would look weird in the background, that we should just go down the street. We pulled into a pretty empty street that ended up being a really good spot. One of the scenes where Kaitlyn was walking, there was supposed to be a noise to add suspense.   Our Pitch   Pitch A:   After Alexandra Delgado was found “dead” after being missing for 3 months, Sophi e Walker mysteriously disappeared after unexpectedly running into her “ dead ” friend.   We feel that we can be very creative with this film. It leaves a lot of room for us to do whatever we want. Also, it is similar, yet different from other films. We can get a lot of inspiration from other films with this pitch. The only bad thing is sometimes this can be too “ideal”. We don’t want it to be “too basic” or “too much”.   Pitch B:   When Molly’s best friend Jenny moved back home after leaving 5 years ago, the huge question “is if that con nection is still there?” pops up.    This pitch is one we feel would be fun and interesting to make. Getting my costume and makeup ready for film

 Today, I started to film some of the shots for our project. Because I am supposed to be dead, there is not much filming that I will need to do. Before I filmed I had to get my costume and makeup ready. My costume is going to be a ripped up t-shirt that is dirty, with most likely shorts. My group member Kaitlyn ended up finding a shirt that she ripped up, and it turned out good. After I got my costume put together, I wanted to focus on makeup. Since I am dead, I looked up "dead looking makeup."It came up with a lot of good ideas. Most of the looks included pale makeup, with very dark eye "bags" and defined facial structures such as cheekbones or collarbones. Since I am not very good at doing makeup, I wanted to practice doing different looks to see which ones I liked the best, and to get some practice.
